My father Maurice Vaughan (Monty Vanovitch) had already passed away when we started the family tree. After his death, my mum told me that he was adopted by Isaac and Dora Vanovitch through Norwood in 1936
As a child I don't remember being aware that my father was adopted but he had spent many years looking for his biological family without success.
I started tracing the Vanovitch / Waniewicz / Sherman lines for two reasons,
The first was to trace uncles and cousins I had met in the past and secondly tracing Isaac and Dora's family was my way of honouring my grandparents
This part of the site has not been updated for a while, there are still mysteries to be unravelled
